About the Constitution Marsh ÃÛèÖAPP Center and Sanctuary
Constitution Marsh ÃÛèÖAPP Center and Sanctuary, owned by New York State Parks and managed by ÃÛèÖAPP New York, is a unique and beautiful tidal marsh located in Putnam County, New York, and serves as vital natural habitat in the Hudson River Estuary. It is situated on the east shore of the Hudson River, just south of the village of Cold Spring. The marsh is an ÃÛèÖAPP New York Important Bird Area, a , and is designated as a Significant Coastal Fish and Wildlife Habitat.
Constitution Marsh ÃÛèÖAPP Center and Sanctuary serves as the hub of our four Hudson River ÃÛèÖAPP Sanctuaries. We conduct conservation education programs for public and private groups, participate in regional and hemispheric bird studies, and take an active part in regional invasive species management and habitat restoration efforts.
