Day Scott—a Black birder, photographer, and environmental educator living in Wyoming—reflects on racism and inclusivity in the outdoors.
Day lives in Lander, Wyoming. She is a birder, naturalist, wildlife photographer, environmental educator, and a NOLS Wilderness First Responder. Her favorite backyard bird is the Black-capped Chickadee. She enjoys exploring the wilderness, freelance writing, and teaching.
